Why Stay in a Disney Vacation Home?

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

There are many reasons for you and your family to stay in a Disney vacation home while vacationing in Orlando.

The first that comes to mind is the size of the rental home as opposed to a hotel room. Vacation homes have much more space and often, everyone can have their own room and some accommodate pets as well. This allows everyone their own personal space and privacy. Besides everyone having their own room, you also get a kitchen, living room, laundry facilities and you could also opt to get a pool home if you choose.

This provides a home away from home for everyone and helps keep the cost of feeding a family much more manageable. You have the option of cooking meals if you want or having a place to store all of the snacks and who knows, you may need to do a load of laundry.

Homes are rented at a flat rate and not per family member. The bigger the family, the more you save.
To get the best prices and best locations on Disney vacation homes, be sure to book well in advance. Demand for these homes can be quite high during peek season. This will help assure that you and your family have their best time on their Orlando vacation.

Make sure to write down deadlines and due dates for the vacation home. Especially, if you book well in advance. It’s easy to forget things and you want this vacation to be as stress free as possible.
Also, make sure you know how to get to the property and where to get and return the key. Print out maps is necessary.

Renting a vacation home will make your stay more enjoyable and a great asset to the whole vacation.

5 Quick Tips to an Enjoyable Day at Disney World

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

1. Check the Orlando weather forecast before heading to the theme parks and prepare accordingly. Jacket, sweaters and rain coats are available at the parks but often over priced. You can leave the extra clothing in your car if you don’t think that you will need them or do not fell like carrying them.

2. Make sure you that you bring a camera and autograph book for the kids as characters can be met throughout the day. If time allows, all the characters sign autographs and will take photos with the family.

3. If your children will need a stroller while at the park, make sure to make renting one a priority as the strollers at the parks do not last long.

4. Try to focus on just one theme park per day. Map out your day with a park map as soon as you can to make the most of your time. By focusing on one park per day and having a plan, you will see more and your time will be better spent.

5. Take breaks. The average person walks ten miles per day at the parks and all the exercise can take a bit out of you. Make sure to stay hydrated with water and take time to sit and relax when needed. Disney has many rides that are air conditioned so they make great resting stops too.

Disney World Vacation Homes

Monday, March 16th, 2009

We are excited to display our new website, DWvacationhomes.com, for everyone to see, and hopefully we can provide some good deals for you and your family to visit us here in Orlando, FL. Even though this is a new website for us, we have been around the Orlando area for a while. In fact, we have been helping guests desiring to visit Disney World with great savings since 1994.

The vacation home industry since 2001 has really taken off in Orlando, and currently there are as many vacation homes near Disney World as there are hotel rooms. Many of these vacation homes were bought by UK investors from 2002 until 2007. Why? Simple…money! Remember during these years the UK pound was worth almost twice as much as the American dollar, so these lucky investors were able to come over here and buy a home at nearly 50% off the asking price (not a bad deal).
